What we - and eGroups - do to prevent spam:
- Moderators of WSMO e-Forum approve all new
subscribers (to prevent spammers joing in), as well as
incoming messages.
- Before spam would get on the list, we take
appropriate action (tracking down the offender, reporting
to the systems managers of providers, which leads to
closing down the offender's e-mail account).

IMPORTANT - Do
not forget to include your full name and address, as well as
your e-mail, in the body of your message. We do not want to
miss your data, and thus the opportunity to reply you. Thank
you.
- Group members' email addresses are obscured anywhere
they appear on the eGroups Web site. They are available
only to the moderator of a particular group (ESCE/WSMO
e-Forum on behalf of the ESCE/WSMO Board).
- eGroups will remove/ban users who propagate
spam.
- Anyone added or invited to a group is sent a
notification message which includes email addresses to
report spam abuse.
eGroups moves swiftly when it receives a spam report.
eGroups will ban a member causing repeat or severe spamming
problems and delete any group associated with these
activities.
